How do we know that the instructor is a qualified one?

The green badge in the windscreen of your instructor’s car assures you that your instructor is a fully qualified expert. The green DVSA (Driving Vehicle Standard Agency) badge in their windscreen proves that they’ve completed on average about 12- 18 months of training, and passed an exam testing their ability to teach you to drive.

Note: Some trainee driving instructors are given a trainee licence so they can get experience before their qualifying test. They must display a pink badge on the windscreen. If your driving instructor is not displaying either a green or pink badge in their car’s windscreen, ask them to show it to you. If they cannot show you their badge, you should report this to DVSA.

How many hours of driving would you need?

There is no clear cut answer for this and it is not possible for an instructor to answer this question. How many driving lessons for test varies, as every individual is different and learns at their own pace.It clearly depends on one’s aptitude as every person is different. Some take as little as about 20 hours, some take well over 50 or 60 hours believe it or not! Whatever the reason may be, Our instructors will be honest with you.

It doesn’t matter how many lessons you do. It is how YOU show the examiner that you are safe behind the wheel, you know about the rules of the road, how you show him/her how to get out of trouble, safely and with regard to other road users.
